Black History Month Awards Presentations

On Sunday, February 24, 2013 Piney Grove Freewill Baptist Church held their first Oscar Presentation Awards ceremony when two of our youth were recognized for their outstanding performance in our Black History Month Play, “The Underground Railroad.”  The Black History Month Committee presented two Oscars. The Oscars were given to A.J. Osborn and Jaylen Bennett for Best Young Supporting Actors Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church Black History Month Play, 2013. Tokens of appreciation were given to our Older Youth Cornelius Thomas and Jasmine Osborn for their leadership role in the play.  The play was filled with songs of joy, hope, freedom and inspiration.
